Class Objective for Youth Ballet:

 

 

Ages 7-12

Instructor: Miss Yvie

 

This is an introductory course to basic ballet vocabulary and positions with simple movement sequences including barre work, center floor and adagio.

 

Improve expressive nature, confidence, memorization, and execution as a performer.

Enhance co-ordination skills.

Develop performance abilities.

Demonstrate expressing our own ideas through dance.

Demonstrate how we can praise God using dance as an instrument. HE is my Inspiration!

 

Understand that acquiring technique is a long process and changes in technique do not occur quickly.

 

A Few Rules:

1. If you have an injury prior to class please let the teacher know.

2. If you get injured during class please let the teacher know right away.

3. No gum or eating in class please.

4. Please do not arrive late to class. If you arrive during the plie combination you may join. Otherwise please ask your teacher to see if it’s okay to join or if they prefer that you just observe class.

 

Please come to class ready to dance in comfortable clothes with hair tied in a ponytail. Thank you!

 

Class Objective for 13-Adult

 

  Ages 13 – Adult

Instructors: Miss Yvie

 

Ballet is the foundation for all forms of dance. This ballet course we will learn vocabulary and positions with movement sequences including barre work, center floor, adagio, pirouettes, petite allegro and grande allero. Students learn basic structure and technique, grace and fluid movement.

 

Improve expressive nature, confidence, memorization, and execution as a performer.

Enhance co-ordination skills.

Develop performance abilities.

Express our own ideas through dance.

Find joy in movement.

Praise God using dance as an instrument. HE is my Inspiration!

 

Performance opportunities for the serious or advanced career oriented student. Understand that acquiring technique is a long process and changes in technique do not occur quickly.
